A project exploring the disorder OCD, where the sufferer anxiously and continuously has intrusive thoughts, due to a fear. I have focused on the 'checking' area the OCD disorder. Aiming for the viewer to see what it's like for an OCD suferer through photography.
*Sigh* you're so right...
I have the opposite problem I'm afraid - my OCD insures I *can't* touch lightswitches for fear of germs Lol. Good thing we can laugh about it... if I didn't laugh I'd cry Fantastic job on the photography
I see this piece and it brings me to tears. I have OCD in a pretty big way, it effects everything I do in life and my person choices. I don't want other people to ever have to feel this way, it's just like not having control of your thoughts and therefor your own life.
It pains me to see this, and equally makes me feel better to know others feel this way, beyond the coldness of a doctor trying to make you feel comfortable in a mindset you'll never truly trust.
Thankyou so much for your moving comment, I am so glad someone else with OCD finds my work helps them in some way, it can be so exhausting to have OCD so I know some relief is welcome x
